Description

Updated version (original july 18, 2012 - newer novembre 26, 2015)

Some time has passed and this is still one of my favourite portraits I've ever done (it was my 40th digital portrait). But since I was never really  satisfyied on how it turned out (expecially about the hair), I decided it was time to redraw it.

Maybe some blue would have added a little bit of more sadness and nostalgia, but it would have ruined the glasses color.

It seems to me, you clearly achieved to show model's mood. your choice of colors, choice of pose, the facial expression (omg, i love the expression!) - everything works together perfectly to show that she's having some deep thoughts, not pleasant maybe and she's also a little bored. If it's what you wanted to show than it's a success.
But though you used tone and pose to show the state of her mind, this choice of colors gets used a lot. The technique is impacable, i love your lineart it's soo clean. Colors are just as flat or deep as they need to be and anatomy is really great. Without adding too much detail you managed to translate the beauty and the emotions. The only thing that confuses me a lot is model's hair. It looks unnatural on top and one can't understand where all those bangs come from. Looks a little anattached to the head.
Overall, I think you did an amazing job. Keep up the good work and hope my critique will be of use.
